So, how do you know that you are in a safe hands?
I have practical experience of both running a business with up to 6 million turnover and setting up my own business. I have more than 12 years experience of operational management working my way through the ranks, eventually to the level of Managing Director.
I was made redundant in 2011 and decided to turn my life long passion for chocolate, baking and creating into a small business called Cocoa & Heart.
My previous experience as a Managing Director helped me to set up my own business, but it was great to have first hand experience in the day to day running of a small business, marketing and budgeting.

Magdalena is a highly motivated business strategist with a strong work ethic. With more than 16 years of experience in working in strategic business and running her own business, she has the ability to asses a business and advise on the practical side of running small business.
Following her redundancy from a post of Managing Director in the social care sector she set up her own company Cocoa & Heart, in 2011. Through Cocoa & Heart Magdalena runs creative workshops and focuses on handmade living, baking and creating chocolate treats.
In 2014 she founded Handmade Kent – niche blog about history and places to visit in Kent, which also supports local handmade businesses and craft people living in Kent.
A year later, in summer 2015, an amazing opportunity came along to take over running an established online handmade marketplace WowThankYou with over 1000 sellers and 13.5 k listed products. To support a community of sellers a Handmade Business Directory was founded in late 2015 to run alongside WowThankYou.

Diploma in Management (level 5) (Chartered Management Institute, UK)
Diploma in Life Coaching – currently studying (Curly Martin, UK)

I’ve been baking my own bread for the last 18 years and have never run out of fresh bread just yet!
I once saved a child’s life. We were at a summer camp and I saw her drowning in a lake so I jumped straight in. I got her out safely, but I stepped on an infected wasp, my foot got massively swollen and I couldn’t walk for the rest of the summer camp. Call this fairness?

When I was 14 I learned to touch type and how to do morse code. Both skills came in pretty handy later in life.

I used to be a guitar song writer and on my 18 birthday I was the first line up in large folk festival. I continued for a few years and then moved to the UK. Guitar travelled with me…
I love old cars, steam trains and old technology -my great grandfather owned one of the first cars in Prague in the early 20th century, so it’s probably in the family.
